The Michigan Tech Railroad Engineering and Activites Club (REAC) will be holding our final general business meeting of the year on Tuesday, April 11th at 7pm in Fisher 133. A meal and refreshments will be served. See the attached flyer for details! 

This month's agenda includes our featured presentation by Erik Czarnik, from Canadian National. He'll be presenting "A Journey in Signals and Communications". He will be presenting on numerous projects he has worked on in his 10 year tenure at Canadian National. Be on the lookout for the google calendar invite later today.

Lastly, we'll be offering the last chance to enter our semester-long raffle prize - the winner receives a $50 gift card!

The Michigan Tech Railroad Engineering and Activites Club (REAC) will be holding our next monthly general business meeting on Tuesday, March 14 at 7pm in Fisher 133. This month's agenda includes our featured presentation by Aaron Lee & Dan Schulte from Quandel and Ryan Hoenshide from MDOT, who will talk about the design of MDOT's Michigan Line. This new line will allow commuter traffic from Ann Arbor to Detroit. 
Another item on our agenda is Officer Elections. All officer positions are open for the 2017-18 academic year and will be available to anyone who wishes to run. If you have not yet had the chance to fill a leadership position, this will be an excellent opportunity for you! Also, employers look for these kinds of leadership roles on resumes.

The Michigan Tech Railroad Engineering & Activities Club (REAC) will be holding a Railroad Careers Night at 7PM on Wednesday, February 22nd. This event will bring together all of the rail industry company representatives that will be in attendance at the Michigan Tech Spring Career Fair into one central location so you can get some more one-on-one time with great employers. Join us for a relaxing evening filled with food, information, and casual conversation.

The Michigan Tech Railroad Engineering and Activites Club (REAC) will be holding our next monthly general business meeting on Tuesday, Feb 7 at 7pm in Fisher 133. This month's agenda includes our featured presentation by Dave Thomson, from Engineered Rail Solutions. He'll be presenting "State of the Freight Rail Industry", providing his insights into the current patterns, trends and happenings within the industry. With over 30 years of experience, he's sure to have some fascinating insights to share with us.
In addition to the presentation, we'll also take some time to discuss involvement and job opportunities - the spring career fair is coming up! We also have our spring field trip on the docket for March, so you'll get to hear about some of what we're planning, and have a chance to sign up for that. Subs and refreshments will be served. Lastly, we'll be offering more chances to enter our semester-long raffle prize - the winner receives a $50 gift card in April!

The Michigan Tech Railroad Engineering and Activites Club (REAC) will be holding our next monthly general business meeting on Tuesday, Jan 17 at 7pm in Fisher 133. This month's agenda includes our featured presentation by Mike Larson, an MTU Grad who now works for BNSF Railway in their locomotive mechanical department. He'll be coming to us live via Web Conference and will discuss topics about maintaining BNSF's expansive motive power fleet.
We're looking for questions you may want to have answered by Mike - if you have any such questions about the topic, send us an email at achristm@mtu.edu and we'll add it to the materials being forwarded on to him.
In addition to the presentation, we'll also take some time to discuss involvement and job opportunities - the spring career fair is coming up. We also have our spring field trip coming up in March, so you'll get to hear about some of what we're planning. Fitting with Mike's presentation, our company highlight will cover BNSF, the nation's second-largest railroad.
