The Railroad Engineering and Activities Club (REAC) will be holding our monthly General Business Meeting on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 in Fisher Room No. 133. This month, our featured presentation will be given by Clint Jones, owner of the Mineral Range Railroad. He’ll be giving us a look at shortline railroading, through the lens of his extensive experience in the business. We’ll tie this in with our recent field trip to the Humboldt Mill, a primary customer of the Mineral Range. Additionally, we’ll have our company highlight, along with raffle prizes and giveaways. Pizza and refreshments will be provided - come by to see who we are and what we do, and learn about the railroad industry!
In addition to our presentation, we’re also organizing a volunteer event at the Quincy Mine in Hancock on. Join us, as we work alongside museum personnel to maintain their iconic cog railroad. A FREEpost-event tour of the mine will be given to any interested participants. This is a great chance to volunteer, work on a railroad, and get an awesome tour of a local icon, all in one event. A sign-up sheet will be available at the General Business Meeting.
